The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UBC has the pleasure to announce that the sixth iteration of the Canadian Pharmacy Practice Programme/CP3 will start November 13, 2007.


This program is designed to help internationally-trained pharmacists prepare themselves for practice in Canada. The duration of the classroom portion will be 12 weeks beginning on November 13, and ending on February 15, 2008, with a 2-week break for Christmas holidays. A mandatory Practice Placement Clerkship of 8 weeks will follow the classroom portion. For details on this course please see the brochure.

Academic and Professional English - Self Paced (ESL)

Academic and Professional English - Self Paced is a flexible program which allows students to work independently at their own pace. It is designed for second language learners with professional education and experience who wish to focus on specific professional and/or academic language goals. ESL - Career Preparation and Upgrading Courses

The following VCC ESL courses specialize in career preparation or career upgrading:

  • English for Health Sciences- ESL meets the Grade 12 English requirement for entry into VCC's Health Sciences Programs
  • English for Business and Customer Relations, an Advanced level course, focuses on fine-tuning the oral and written communication skills needed for business and customer-relations
  • English in the Canadian Workplace, an Intermediate level course, develops job search and communication skills in the workplace.
