Mentoring Connections

Immigrant Services Society of BC: Mentoring Connections

--Helping skilled immigrants do what they do best!

Mentoring Connections is a dynamic community initiative from Immigrant Services Society of BC (ISSofBC), the largest multicultural immigrant-serving organization in western Canada. Mentoring Connections matches established professionals with skilled immigrants in flexible, career-focused mentoring relationships.

For skilled immigrants, establishing new careers in Canada can be a daunting challenge. Differences in business culture, credential requirements or a lack of connections can all keep experienced professionals from working in their chosen fields.

That’s where our mentors step in. By sharing valuable, industry-specific advice and encouragement, mentors not only develop their professional mentoring skills, they help equip new immigrants with the knowledge they need to find meaningful, professional work more quickly.
