2010 Best Employers for New Canadians
Launched in 2007, the Best Employers for New Canadianscompetition is managed by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers in partnership with ALLIES, a joint initiative of theThe Maytree Foundation and The J.W. McConnell Family Foundation, two foundations with long histories of strengthening Canadian communities. Although majority of companies on this list are located in Ontario, there are many companies which have either Head Quarters (VCH, BC Hydro, etc) or branches in BC (all banks, for example). The Cultural DIVERSEcity Awards for Business
The Cultural DIVERSEcity Awards for Business (CDA) was launched in1995 with the purpose of recognizing those businesses in the Surrey, Delta and White Rock communities that have excelled in successfully implementing culturally diverse initiatives into their workplaces.
DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society held their 15th Annual Cultural DIVERSEcity Awards for Business on Tuesday, April 13th at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford hotel. This sold out event featured a Keynote address by Sophie Lui; Master of Ceremonies, Penny Priddy, an ethnic buffet and Entertainment by the bhangra fusion band, Dal Hothi and the Headlines.
