English for Health Care Professionals

To maximize leaner accessibility to this course and to schedule the required assessments, we have delayed the start date of this course.

WHAT:

Douglas College Department of Health Science Continuing Education (HSCE) has developed a new English course.

PURPOSE:

The course is for learners who are currently working in the healthcare field or planning to enter it and need to improve their English skills for the workplace.

WHEN:

To accommodate those who are working, the class is offered in the evening beginning February 16 - May 29th on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-9 pm for 14 weeks.

WHERE:

With easy sky train access the course is at the DC New Westminster campus. The Monday night class is in Room #4241 and the Wed. night class is in Room #3902.

WHO:

The course is taught by Annabelle MacDonald. Annabelle has taught English internationally and in the ESL Douglas College program. Students will need to be assessed prior to the course by Annabelle.

COSTS:

The course will run with a minimum of 12 students and maximum of 25. The total cost including books is $915.00 There is a separate fee for prior assessment.
